FARTASH
Fartash challenges conventional notions of domestic architecture by embracing the philosophy of Object-Oriented Ontology. Rather than conceiving the villa as a unified whole, we treat each component – bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, even stairs and columns – as independent objects with inherent qualities. This approach liberates us from traditional architectural constraints, allowing for a radical reimagining of spatial relationships and defying the expectation of a fixed, pre-determined form.

This project aims to expose the essence of each space, rejecting the tendency to conceal or mask its true nature. We strive to create environments where the function and character of each room are readily apparent, emphasizing transparency and honesty in design. This approach resonates with the target users of this project, Generation Z and Alpha, who value authenticity and directness in all aspects of their lives. They demand spaces that reflect their values of simplicity, mobility, and a discerning appreciation for the unique qualities of each object within their environment.
Fartash dismantles the traditional concept of the “house” as a static and unchanging entity. The fluidity of boundaries and the dynamic interplay between spaces foster a sense of constant evolution and adaptability. This inherent instability, rather than creating insecurity, provides a framework for mental and creative freedom. Inhabitants are encouraged to explore, experiment, and redefine their relationship with the built environment, reflecting the dynamism of their own lives and aspirations.
The project emphasizes the free expression of desires and the ability to fulfill them. By prioritizing the individual needs and preferences of Generation Z and Alpha, Fartash aims to create a living environment that truly reflects their values. This includes a focus on mobility, a celebration of simplicity, and an appreciation for the unique qualities of each object within the space. This villa is not merely a dwelling; it is a manifestation of a new architectural paradigm that empowers its inhabitants to live authentically and embrace the fluidity of modern life.
